Instatime! #10

Ach ihr Lieben, wie schön ist es wieder zu Hause zu sein. Die Weihnachtszeit war für mich nie etwas besonderes, da wir kein Weihnachten feiern. Es war eigentlich immer die langweiligste Zeit im Jahr, weil alle beschäftigt waren und im Fernsehen nur Schrott läuft. Aber dieses Jahr ist es irgendwie anders. Dieses Jahr kann ich verstehen wieso sich alle auf Weihnachten freuen. Dieses Jahr macht mich diese ganze Weihnachtsmusik, die Lichter und der weihnachtliche Duft auch ganz sentimental. Weihnachten bedeutet nach Hause zu kommen, alle Sorgen abzulegen und einfach zur Ruhe zu kommen, natürlich mit seinen Liebsten. Wenn man sowieso zu Hause wohnt, nimmt man das alles als selbstverständlich hin und schätzt diese kostbare Zeit gar nicht - aber das sollte man. 

Ich wünsche euch auf jeden Fall einen schönen vierten Advent und vor Heiligabend melde ich mich auch noch einmal mit einem Outfit Post um euch richtig frohe Weihnachten zu wünschen!

Für Heute gibt es ein paar Instagrams(@ranhelwa) und Fotos die mein Bruder und ich mit seinem Fisheye Objektiv geschossen haben, als er mich in Maastricht besucht hat.

Oh you lovelies. How nice is it being back home again? Christmas time was never really special to me, in fact, it was the most boring time of the year - we dont celebrate it, all friends are busy and there is only crap on tv. But this year is different. This year I understand why everyone is always looking forward to christmas. This year all the christmas music, the scent and all the pretty lights really make me sentimental. Christmas now, also means for me coming back home to my family and just spend the time in harmony with them and forgetting about all worries. When you dont live home anymore, you really start to appreciate those times and do not take them for granted anymore.

So, I wish you a pleasant fourth advent and will wish you a merry christmas in my next outfit post before christmas eve!

10th of June

Ich entschuldige mich für 4 Tage tote Hose auf meinem Blog und melde mich mit einem Outfit/Photography-Post zurück! 

Da ich leider die Kirschbaumblütenzeit verpasst habe zum Fotos zu machen, durfte mir das nicht auch noch mit den knallgelben Rapsfeldern passieren - also bin ich die Sache direkt angegangen. 

Um einen schönen Kontrast zu dem Gelb zu erzeugen, musste ich einfach mein royalblaues Kleid anziehen, welches ich aber dann als Oberteil zu meinem High-Low Rock getragen habe. Alltagstauglich ist der Look zwar nicht, aber für schicke Veranstaltungen am Abend stell ich ihn mir super vor.

Und dann war ich gestern noch mit Sabrina unterwegs für unser nächstes We Style it! Outfit und da haben wir gleich mal die Gelegenheit für ein paar kurze Fashion Clips genutzt. Ich hoffe sie werden gut, und dass sie ein bisschen Abwechslung hier rein bringen.

Sorry for not posting for a while, but today I'm back with a new outfit/photography post! 

As I unfortunately missed the cherry blossom season for taking photos, I did not want this to happen with the canola season. 

So I took my royal blue dress to create a nice contrast to the yellow field and wore it as a top with my hem skirt. Of course this is not a casual look to wear all the time, but I think it would be great for a chic evening. 

And yesterday I went out with Sabrina to take some photos for our next We Style it!-Post. Also we made some short fashion videoclips - can't wait to show them to you!

Und soo schnell ging die Zeit mal wieder vorbei. Seit gestern bin ich wieder in Deutschland und ich habe Sonne mitgebracht! Wie toll ist das Wetter hier?! Fast so gut wie in Kairo! 

Zwar wäre ich gerne wie ein echter Brownie zurück gekommen, aber Kairo liegt nunmal nicht am Meer... Leider ist es auch nicht möglich einfach mal so schwimmen zu gehen als Frau. Da muss man schon einen eigenen Pool besitzen, speziellen privaten Clubs angehören oder ein Zimmer in einem Hotel buchen, um so den Pool benutzen zu können. Da war für mich schließlich nicht mehr als die Badewanne zuhause drin... aber ich hatte trotzdem mal wieder eine tolle Zeit mit meiner Familie und möchte ich jetzt erstmal ein paar Instagram Bilder aus dem Urlaub und der letzten Zeit zeigen. 

Andere Fotos habe ich leider nicht geschossen, da ich hauptsächlich gefilmt habe!

And again, time passes by sooo quickly! After two and a half weeks, I am back home in Germany and yes, I brought you guys some sun! How great is the weather here? Almost as good as in Cairo I'd say!
Unfortunatly, I didn't come back as a brownie... but Cairo is not located at a sea and for a woman it's not that easy to find a pool where you can swim. You either have to own a pool yourself, have access to private sporting clubs or book a room in a hotel in order to use the hotel pools. So eventually, I was left with a bathtub at home...anyway I still had a great time with my family and therefore want to show you some instagrams from my vacation and from the last weeks. I didnt shoot a lot of pictures, as I mainly was filming for my upcoming Cairo video!

Lookbook Inspiration: Black & White

Eins der absoluten Trends kommende Frühjahr/Sommer Saison ist wohl ganz simpel schwarz-weiß. So einfach diese Farbkombination auch ist -  die Looks die man damit erstellen kann, sind alles andere als einfach. Ob auffällige Musterkombinationen wie schwarz-weiß gestreift kombiniert mit schwarz-weiß karriert oder klassisch mit simplem weißen Hemd und einer schwarzen Hose, es sieht einfach immer verdammt gut aus. Dieser Trend sagt mir jetzt schon definitiv zu.

Zwar wollte ich mich letzten Sommer von meiner Neigung zu "farblosen" Klamotten etwas distanzieren... aber so wie es aussieht wird es bald von schwarz-weißer Kleidung nur noch so wimmeln in den Geschäften, dass ich garantiert nicht ausweichen werden kann.

One of the biggest trends this upcoming spring/summer season is the combination of black and white. As simple as this combination of colours sounds - the outfits you can create are way more than simple. You can combine it in a eye-catching, crazy way with different patterns or just classic, with a  white shirt and black, skinny jeans ... and it will always turn out amazing. I already love this trend! 
Last summer, I tried to open up more for colourful clothing... but obviously this summer, the shops will be full of black and white clothes, so that I surely will not resist.

Happy New Year 2013!

Schon in ein paar Stunden werden wir alle draußen stehen, uns den Hintern abfrieren, das Feuerwerk beobachten - sofern die Wolken dies zulassen - und mit unseren Liebsten auf das neue Jahr anstoßen. Wir werden versuchen, Menschen, die nicht bei einem sein konnten, telefonisch alles Gute zu wünschen, und nicht nicht durchkommen, weil die Leitungen überlastet sind. Wir werden denken, dass wir in dem Rauch der Feuerwerksköper ersticken und nur mit einem Hörschaden wieder daraus kommen.
Aber all dies ist es doch irgendwie Wert, für diesen einen besonderen Moment, die erste Minute im neuen Jahr 2013.
Jedoch möchte ich euch noch einen Tipp für ein schönes Silvester geben: Setzt eure Erwartungen nicht zu hoch. Es muss nicht die Party des Jahres werden - mit so einer Einstellung, wird sie es nicht.
Das habe ich aus den letzten Jahren gelernt und deshalb versuche ich dieses Jahr die Sache locker anzugehen und mich nicht darüber zu ärgern, wenn nicht alles perfekt abläuft.   

Ich wünsche euch allen einen wundervollen Rutsch ins neue Jahr, viel Glück, viel Erfolg und Gesundheit für das neue Jahr!

Only some hours left, and we will be all standing outside in the cold, observing the fireworks - if it's not too cloudy tonight - and celebrating with our dearest friends. We will be trying to call people, who couldnt spent this night with us, to wish them all the best, but we won't get trough, cause all the telephone lines will we overloaded. We will be thinking, that we might choke in the smoke of  fireworks and that we won't get out of this without a hearing damage.
But somehow, all this is worth it, just for this one special moment, the first minute in the new year 2013.
However, I want to give you all an advice: Do not set your expectations too high. It doesnt have to be the party of the year - with such an attitude, it sure won't. 
I have learned that from my last new years eves, so that this year, I want to try to be more relaxed and not be disappointed, if not everything goes perfect.

Instatime #4 + Giveaway Winner

Heute melde ich mich nur mit 'ner Menge Bilder.  Einmal ein paar Instagrams und dann noch Fotos, die ich vorletztes Wochenende in Düsseldorf gemacht habe, als das Wetter richtig toll war und alles einfach wunderschön aussah. Schnee und Sonne ist einfach die perfekte Kombination. 

Leider hatte ich meine Kamera nicht dabei, musste die Bilder also mit meinem Handy machen. Schön sind sie trotzdem geworden wie ich finde und ich hoffe, dass diesen Winter noch mehr solcher Tage auf uns zukommen. Aaach und herzlichen Glückwunsch an Ariane, die bei meinem Giveaway gewonnen hat. Also, schau in dein Postfach! :D

Today I just want to share a lot some pictures with you. Some of them are instagrams, but also photos I took last weekend in Düsseldorf. The weather was simply amazing and created a lovely atmosphere with the snow. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me, so I had to take pictures with my phone - but I think they turned out quite well. I hope there still will be more of those beautiful days this winter.
